Google $50 Adwords Coupon

Postby SuppliesBuyer on Tue Jul 10, 2007 8:27 am

Hi, I got an email from Staples.com with a $50 Adwords coupon code, exp. 7/15/07, (for new accounts only).

I finally tried to use it today to set up an adwords account for my new site. It said my promotional code was received, actually gave me $55 credit ($5 for the start-up fee ;) ) but then said I had to authorize them to charge $10 on my credit card. I didn't mind giving them the CC info, but authorizing them to charge it is another thing. I signed up for the prepaid PPC. Why should they need me to charge another $10?

Does anyone know anything about this? :?:

Actually upon setting up an AdWords account I was charged with ca $15. AdWords activation is not free, some fee is required, it differs among countries. If you passed your CC info to Google it would not cause you any problems.. I wouldn't pass these details to the third party as staples.com. However I paid this 15 bucks using bank transfer. It takes 2 days, but I think it is a safe way to do it.
